1) Price
Everyone is sensitive to price. In the current Chinese market, the price difference is so huge that it's incomparable. Expensive ones can cost 200-300 yuan for a 10cm wide roll, while cheap ones can be less than 10 yuan. It really depends on what the company values. Of course, the best-selling tapes at the moment are probably those costing a few yuan per roll.
2) Material
Most currently use PVC as the base material. PVC is the abbreviation for polyvinyl chloride. Polyvinyl chloride has the advantages of being flame-retardant (flame retardancy value above 40), highly resistant to chemicals, and having good mechanical strength and electrical insulation. However, in use, the disadvantage of PVC is that its tensile strength is not good enough. As a result, during the pasting process, when the worker pulls the tape open, the tape will deform, and after being applied to the ground, it is easy to appear uneven and crooked. Only those who have applied tape will understand this. Managers and purchasing personnel often don't know this.
Of course, the tensile strength of PVC of different quality levels is different, which is one of the important reasons for the huge price difference between tapes of different brands.
Of course, some products also use some new measures to circumvent or overcome the shortcomings of this material.
3) Thickness
Thickness is actually closely related to price, and thickness also means the service life of the tape on the ground. It generally ranges from 0.1mm to 0.17mm. With the same quality of material, thicker tapes naturally last longer, and of course, the cost is also higher.
4) Adhesive
Tape sticks because of the adhesive, but the quality of the adhesive varies greatly, reflected in the adhesion, tack, and the state of the adhesive residue. We have seen adhesives with poor adhesion, and also seen a lot of adhesive residue that is impossible to remove. Therefore, this is also reflected in the quality. Although the quality can be evaluated through data, it is often necessary to use it to know for sure. The parameters provided by manufacturers are sometimes inaccurate.
5) Length
Sometimes you can't just look at the price. Some manufacturers, in order to create a feeling of low price, directly reduce the length of the tape or falsely report the length. If there is less material, of course, it can become cheaper.
